Windom Kimsey, FAIA, LEED AP
Windom Kimsey is the President and CEO of Tate Snyder Kimsey, and he oversees the planning, development, and design of all the firm’s projects. Over the past 20 years Windom has worked to enhance the quality of the firm’s portfolio with projects that provide clients with exceptional design solutions. He has built a reputation for compelling, sensitive design, and has guided the firm to many prestigious honors including over 90 design awards at the state, regional and national levels over the past decade.
Windom’s design work has been featured in Architecture, Architectural Record, L’Arca, World Architecture, Metropolis and Newsweek magazines. In 2004 he was elevated to Fellowship in the American Institute of Architects for design. His commitment to the AIA and his profession has been recognized by the award of AIA Nevada’s highest honor, the Silver Medal. In 2009, Windom received an even greater honor being recognized with the AIA Western Mountain Region’s Silver Medal for service to the profession. Leadership in sustainable design has been foremost in Windom’s career. He has led the firm’s commitment to the principles of integrated design and the development of high performance buildings. His leadership helped the firm to be recognized in 2010 with AIA Nevada’s Sustainable Practice Award.
