Clark County Family Courts + Services Center

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA

The Clark County Family Courts & Services Center in Las Vegas, Nevada is a 102,500 s.f. building, which connects two existing structures creating a complex which is designed for the delivery of judicial and social services to troubled families. The new building is designed to be approachable for children and their families but maintain the formality necessary of a courthouse.

The three-story court building includes 11 court rooms, judges’ chambers and more than 60,000 s.f. of county clerk offices, court administration and food services. An additional 42,000 s.f. of existing adjacent structures was remodeled for public defender, district attorney and social service agency offices.

The building is connected by an enclosed atrium with the existing court buildings. This complex houses a counseling and judicial intervention system that serves as a prototype for state and county jurisdictions nationwide.
