Port of Long Beach Pier T

Port of Long Beach, Pier T, Hanjin Shipping Container Terminal, Entry Gate

The 375 acre Pier T, Hanjin Shipping container terminal is a critical intersection of international commerce where containers are transferred between the various modes of transportation. Due to the increased productivity of TSKC’s previous terminal at Pier A. Hanjin decided to further increase their capacity and relocate to this larger terminal Pier T.

Where major moves vastly improved the productivity at Pier A, this terminal fine tuned the concepts for advanced achievements. The placement and form of the gate building and truck canopy provide solutions for visual control, delicate separation of work groups, truck fumes, and the corrosive seaside environment. The complex exceeds again the owners functional goals, and provides a superior environment for receiving clients and instilling a sense of pride in those who work there. The dynamic operations and aspirations of this Hanjin shipping company are captured in this flagship facility.
