The Waterfront Tower and master plan was conceived as a vision for transforming a section of blighted downtown Reno waterfront into a vertical residential neighborhood bristling with activity. Working with Carlos Zapata, design architect of the building form, TSK served as the architect of record and designed layouts for 128 unique residential units each flexing with the subtle transformations of the building’s all glass enclosure rising up 28 floors.

The project boasted four penthouse suites with an elevated pool deck, camouflaged parking garage covered with terraced landscaping, residents’ pool opening to the Truckee River, community lounge and conference center, grand porte cochere entry and the latest in high tech fixtures and furnishings.

TSK provided full assistance to the owners with the complexities of researching, strategizing and establishing a path forward through the myriad codes, city ordinances, FEMA requirements and city council political and constituent concerns.
